About me
Therapy that begins with truly listening
I'm a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and never alone in what you're carrying.
Hi, I'm Dr. Sarah Calloway
I became a therapist because I believe that every person — at every age — deserves a space where they can be fully themselves without fear of judgment. My path into this work was shaped by my own experiences with loss, transition, and the quiet courage it takes to ask for help.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions; with teens and young adults finding their footing in a complex world; and with children and families building stronger, more connected relationships.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a reader, a slow hiker, and a devoted plant parent. I bring that same unhurried, curious energy to my work with clients.

My approach
Evidence-based, deeply human
I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, always adapting to what feels right for you — not the other way around.
Trauma-informed care
Everything I do is grounded in an understanding of how trauma shapes the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. Healing happens at your pace.
Attachment-based therapy
Our earliest relationships form the template for how we connect with others. Together, we explore those patterns and build more secure, fulfilling bonds.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Practical tools to identify and gently shift the thought patterns and behaviors that keep you stuck — grounded in decades of research.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing helps the brain process distressing memories so they lose their grip on your present-day life.
Mindfulness & somatic work
Healing isn't only cognitive. I incorporate body-based and mindfulness practices to help you reconnect with yourself from the inside out.
Play therapy (for children)
Children communicate through play. I use evidence-based play therapy techniques to help younger clients express, process, and heal in the way that comes naturally to them.
What I believe
"You are the expert on your own life. I'm here to help you access the wisdom you already carry."
"Healing is not linear — and that's okay. Progress looks different for everyone."
"Therapy should feel like a collaboration, not something done to you."
